The World’s corrupt tyrants try to shackle the US… again.
[This BS UN report was] drawn up by more than 2,500 of the world’s top scientists and their governments [which bought those scientists], and agreed last week by representatives of all its national governments [who want to crush the American economic giant, but can’t do it by fair competition].
When you wade through all the BS, you’ll notice an interesting comment:
Environmentalists point out that the increasing acidification of the oceans would in itself provide ample reason to curb emissions of carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels and felling forests even if the dwindling band of sceptics were right and the gas was not warming up the planet.
Woooo… this could mean that they’re afraid that the anthropogenic-CO2-caused-GW theory is in danger of collapsing, so they need a new boogeyman to scare us with… anthropogenic ocean acidification. (Note: acidification may, indeed, have merit; but until I see good support for it, I’m gonna go with the odds and wad it up with the other radical-environmentalist BS.
Okay, here’s another interesting comment:
If humanity were not affecting the climate, it concludes, declines in the sun’s activity and increased eruptions from volcanoes – which throw huge amounts of dust in the air that screen out sunlight – would have been likely to “have produced cooling” of the planet.
Hey, Bubba, global cooling would be an even worse catastrophe for civilization. See: The Little Ice Age and cooling during the Dark Ages.
Yada, yada, yada… more hysterical BS, then the bottom line:
The missing element, virtually everyone agrees, is political will from governments.
