Normally, I don’t respond to anonymous snarks,
but you need to read up on the art of snipery
(both on-line and in the field).

First: yeah, snipers do that. It’s not disturbing, it’s battle. That’s why I post videos once in a while. Most folks (like me) don’t have any first-hand experience (some KisPers, notwithstanding).
Second: the Marines weren’t “pinned down.” The were returning fire from a protected firing position. They were clearly mobile. Until they know what the threat is, they assume it’s worse than it starts.
Third: ammo’s cheap.
Fourth: that jackass “sniper” didn’t know a lot about sniper doctrine. Sniping ain’t the same as hunting.
FourthA: He did not have a sniper-quality target. Shootin’ one guy without expecting to gain any military value is just f’n murder. Where’s the tactical value, the senior leadership target, the critical command & control node, the vital equipment/supplies, the maneuver influence, the channeling? Nada. He’s just shootin’ a guy. (The demoralization factor is not really in play, here. Okay, perhaps he was protecting the escape of some comrades or something the Marines were about to encounter, but that wasn’t apparent.)
FourthB: He was unsupported. Kripes even I can take pot shots like that (here, buck; here, buck). If that Taliban’s unit had any trained leadership, they would have had those Marines’ protected firing position all prepped (pre-zeroed) for flanking small-arms, artillery, gunships, or bombers. (What? Oh, yeah, right, I forgot.)

uh okay, here’s my solution: stop fucking expecting everyone else to do shit for you, get off your entitlement ass, do something productive, then bask in the afterglow of the rewarding feeling that YOU did something besides bitch about no one helping you.

People like this always assume they are the first to ask such questions and they really think they can come up with a shockingly simple or unique answer. The answers are usually just a hodge podge of rehashed b.s. from the last 3,000 years of wackiness.

Sean Penn is such an idiot. The left has spent 100+ years undermining and mocking traditional beliefs. In music, film, literature, etc. But when they are similarly challenged and mocked and their foolishness is pointed out, they act surprised and they want to maintain the fake integrity of their little events.
