A long-standing neighborhood conflict over roaming dogs escalated when a 74-year-old man fired a shotgun out a window of his home, killing a loose Chihuahua and landing himself in jail on criminal charges, according to police.

~ * ~

The 10-year-old Chihuahua, Faux Pas, was apparently attracted to Mueller’s own dog, which was in heat, Glasgow said. Mueller’s dog was in a fenced dog run in the yard, which itself is not fenced.

Faux Pas made a fatal misstep when he approached Mueller’s property on Zurich Street, according to police.

Mueller leveled a semiautomatic .410-bore shotgun loaded with bird shot out an opened window and shot the animal on the street at a corner of his property, police Lt. Dave Parker said. Faux Pas was about 20 feet away from the window.

~

Glasgow conceded that Faux Pas has escaped from his home several blocks away in the past and gone to see Zippy when she’s in heat, but he said they always went to get him when Mueller called. There was no reason to shoot Faux Pas, he said.

“It’s his right to keep his dog in any particular way that he wants to,” Glasgow said. “But the problem of it is that when you keep a female dog out like that, other dogs are going to come into your yard. What he’s saying is that my dog is out of control and running through the neighborhood. What I’m trying to tell him is, ‘The only reason my dog was at your house was because you’re keeping a bitch in heat outside.’

This guy reads funny

even Time is maleable under his eye

After a quick perusal of Teh Konstitution [do they really print that on the back of a Captian Bullshit Crunch box?] Atty. General Eric Holder remarked that the “apt” comparison for Osama bin Laden is to mass murderers like Charles Manson who, despite being murderers, still reserve the right to go before a jury and have the charges against them proved beyond a reasonable doubt.  Culbertson failed to ask him which clause of the actual Constitution he found that foreign nationals and enemy combatants are to be treated as though they had US Citizenship.

OR *clicky*clicky*

Then Holder went back to playing Hide My Briefs.

Indeed, I’ve known her a long time, linked her work and praised her reporting over the years, and once made the mistake of sympathizing with one of her old gripes about Sean. She has accused me (and everyone else on the planet) of stealing her work, hating Jews, and being less intelligent, less brave, and less successful than she is. Some very vindictive people will never be happy and have made it their life’s mission to drag the world down with them. It is very, very sad.

Notice how Michelle only blockquotes her name but never actually writes it herself?

Smart.. very smart.

todaze Lympian quote o the OMG

Why do they call it “Obamacare” when it was sponsored by Rep. Dingell?

There is a pretty good indicator of what this is all about. It has nothing to do with what is good for the American people, it is all about attacking Obama.

All of these little made up names and terminology are their “N” words.

Yesterday, I decided to call Rep. John Garamendi’s (CA-10) office in Washington, D.C. He’s my representative and I wanted to voice my opposition to the Senate Health Care Bill. I spoke with a female staffer and politely told her that, while I support health care reform, I oppose the Senate Bill because it wasn’t true “reform.” She said the Congressman thinks it’s a good bill and that he campaigned on health care reform. I told her I knew that. I also mentioned that I voted for him. When I tried to give her specific reasons why the Senate Bill would harm our system rather than reform it, she refused to listen. She said she was very busy and hung up on me. Being the persistent person that I am, I kept calling back. Each time I tried to finish my point, she hung up.

I called one more time. This time she said, “If you call one more time, we will notify Capital Police.” I asked why my conduct warranted involving federal law enforcement agents. She said I was “harassing” her. I tried to explain that trying to convince a representative to change his or her vote didn’t constitute “harassment.” Before I could fully explain, she hung up again.

I called back. This time, I asked to speak to her supervisor in order to report her repeated hanging up as well as the threat she made. I was placed on hold. Thinking I was holding for her supervisor, I was shocked when a Federal Agent with the Capital Police picked-up the telephone...............

today’s KisP fun facts

Obamacare will create 12,500 new jobs!

image

The IRS will have lots to do to implement and enforce the new taxes and mandates included in the bill. In fact, the Senate Democrats’ bill references or amends the Internal Revenue Code 180 times.

Based on the current cost to employ this division’s workforce, an additional $1 billion per year would mean 12,500 new employees at the IRS. That’s more than 12,000 IRS employees that will be examining taxpayer records to enforce the government’s definition of “affordable” and “acceptable” insurance coverage, and working to comply with the bill to get people into government-run insurance.

....keep your dogs under your control at ALL TIMES. If you cannot keep your dog under your control then you’re a very bad pet owner and don’t deserve to have one.

I have had more dog encounters than I can even count and it’s all kinds of situations some very dangerous. And always because someone did not have control of their dogs!

As for little dogs....the guy said they tried to dig under her kennel. If SHE got out because of that little dog I imagine there’d have been a very bad huge problem. And one time I nearly got my arm pulled out of my socket when I came upon 3 Dachshunds while walking a Lab…
I kept control of my dog and got hurt because THEY did not.

I think this guy overreacted, but none the less he had his dog in control and the other guys was at fault. Besides, they just be following their instincts. My neighbors dog comes over to visit me all the time, I’ve made friends with him and there fore with his owner.

The bitch was on a run outside because bitches in heat are messy.

My only complaint was that he shot the animal outside his property. Although dog will breed through a chainlink fence if that’s their only opportunity.

If you can’t control your animal, and it keeps invading your neighbor’s property and causing damage, it’s going to die. In my state, if it had been chasing sheep, or killing chickens, not only would the cops not have done anything, the livestock owner would be able to sue for damages.

An AKC bitch that is accidentally streetbred loses value, and prize winning stud owners won’t allow their animals to breed on a bitch that can’t be certified as disease free.

A friend of mine had his four year old daughter’s face chewed by a neighbor’s bulldog. The multiple plastic surgeries on his daughter’s face cost my friend $33,000 over what his insurance covered. The dog’s owner never apologized, offered to help with expenses and a court said under Virginia law, a dog gets one free bite. IOW, even though the dog had bitten other people before, it got off because there was no formal complaint on record.
The dog owners kept the dog close to home after that, but one day it got out, came into my friend’s yard and my friend saw it and shot it dead with his pistol. Owners called police, filed a civil lawsuit. When the judge heard the whole story in criminal court, he fined my friend $30 and costs for discharging a firearm within 600 feet of a dwelling, and with that, the civil suit went nowhere. My friend said it was the best $30 he ever spent.
If his locale had leash laws, which we do here, then Shotgun Mueller was OK in my book. I love dogs, but in control of their owner, not running wild.
