Mystery object to whizz by Earth Wednesday
A mystery object from space is about to whizz close by Earth on Wednesday. It won’t hit our planet, but scientists are stumped by what exactly it is.
Now taking guesses on the identity of this mystery object.
It was identified by the article as being between 33-50 feet wide, so it could be a small space dirigible, the Batmobile, or Michael Moore.

D.C. police said a woman awoke to find a stranger cuddling her in bed. Police said they don’t know how the man got into the Glover Park home early Sunday. Sgt. Nicholas Breul said the woman woke up and startled the intruder, who fled the scene. Police said the woman was not injured and she was not able to give a good description.

Labor leaders are pushing hard on President Barack Obama and Senate Democrats to drop a proposed new tax on high-value health insurance plans, warning of political consequences.
The White House has indicated the tax may change so it hits fewer workers — but it’s not going away.
A Monday evening meeting at the White House between Obama and about a dozen heads of the country’s biggest labor unions capped a day when two union leaders fired broadsides at Obama and Senate Democrats over their plans to pay for overhauling the nation’s health care system with a tax union leaders fear could hurt their workers.
The 40 percent tax would fall on employer health plans worth more than $8,500 for an individual or $23,000 for a family. Although Obama terms them “Cadillac” plans, union leaders say numerous working-class Americans who’ve negotiated good benefits in exchange for lesser pay would be hurt...............
“Cadillac plans” are not just rich KKKorporate perks for highly paid execs
pee ess:
OBAMA: If you have a job, pay taxes, and make less than $200,000 a year, you’ll get a tax cut.
OBAMA: If Senator McCain wants a debate about taxes in this campaign, then it is a debate I’m happy to have. Because if you’re a family making less than $250,000 a year, my plan will not raise your taxes.
Offered as an argument FOR Obama care......
This was the question JR asked at a town hall meeting that got him a standing ovation and people coming up to him and shaking his hand. He asked it twice and our rep COULD NOT answer it. As a matter of fact, he clearly didn’t even remotely understand it...but the people did…

The state isn’t letting me feel happy. The state isn’t allowing me to feel my whole potential.
If this flies I suggest we all sue our states and the Feds for confiscatory taxes being spent on removing our freedoms and buying the educated elite class trinkets and junkets because “The state isn’t letting me feel happy. The state isn’t allowing me to feel my whole potential.”

Iranian nuclear scientist Massoud Ali Mohammadi was killed today in a rare bomb attack in Tehran which state media quickly blamed on Iran’s arch-foes the United States and Israel.
Mohammadi, a lecturer at Tehran university, died when a bomb strapped to a motorcycle was triggered by remote control outside his home in the northern Tehran neighbourhood of Qeytariyeh, state media said.
He was “assassinated” Tuesday morning by “a bomb which US and Zionist agents had already placed near his house,” state television said without naming any sources.

Why do this? It’s just another step in the wrong direction, promoting a society where doing things for ‘fun’ is at a higher priority than dealing with the crooks and the system that creates inequality throughout the world including our great coutry.

What were you doing on Sunday from 3 to 5 PM, Kaz? I hope you were doing something to work against the system that creates inequality throughout the world. If not, shut up! Thanks!

January 11, 2010 at 8:08 pmActually I spend one weekend every month helping the homeless, I am also working on a book that helps people unite through the love of humanity which includes responsibility towards one another in ways that are long term. Understanding our inner demons that create excuses for us behaving inappropriately or naturally as most people call it. We are not animals, we are supposed to be intelligent beings, but with the world attracted to the animalistic behaviours the task of people like me becomes so much harder. I’m not stopping or advocating banning behaviour such as was undertaken by the pantless party (you are free to exercise your rights), I’m for those that think it is just typical of people who have the lets chill, lets party, lets act all cool mentality and not realize there are bigger issues to unite for and eradicate and be serious about. You want to pretend you contributed something for the betterment of mankind, go ahead, stay delusional and take away the freedom of those of us trying to make a real difference in this sad pitiful world.

Man, I bet you’re fun at parties.

A Tacoma-based blood center offers donors a deal: Give a pint of blood, get a pint of beer.
Cascade Regional Blood Services says the promotion has worked so well at six Tacoma pubs and breweries, it’s expanding its “Give blood, get beer” offer to its bloodmobile for pubs in Federal Way and Steilacoom.
Cascade’s director of donor resources, Dan Schmitt, says it’s a fun way to get more donors, and it’s good for the restaurants as well.
The News Tribune of Tacoma reports donors who are at least 21 years old are given a coupon for a free pint of beer. The pub must wait at least four hours after the blood drive ends before donors can cash in on their free pint.
