BS rhetoric like the term “elite” or “elites” used by Laura Ingraham and such are one of the reasons I’ve largely stopped listening to talk radio.

“Elites” used to be a term of art for ‘70s era poli sci majors, referring to those in power.  McKinney et al have taken the adjectival meaning way too much to heart, forgetting that they are the help, aka “public servants.”

(Oh crap.  I called a black person a servant.)

(And Kennedyites/Clintonistas drop the “l” from the first word in that term, by the way.)

A friend of mine has said that America has the best treated peasants in the world.  There are days when it would seem so.  We have somehow let 500 or a few thousand if you include the “local elites” somehow have there way with the rest of us.  I’m not sure how long the “peasants” are going to stand for it.

I’ve pretty much played by the rules my whole life, but they keep making more and more restrictive rules.  We quietly accept new taxes that are far less than what caused Boston Harbor to be turned into a giant tea pot some 230 years ago.  I cannot buy a handgun at the store without permission and because of my chosen profession the local government feels they need to know exactly where I keep it.  It matters not that I have not been convicted or even charged with a crime.  The next time they ask where I keep my pistol I will tell them “Onmy hip.  Where it belongs”.
There are a few in DC that are still “one of us” but I fear the number is shrinking.  Those who are there are having a harder time keeping the others in check.  Something has got to give soon.  Possibly a revolution of sorts.  We can only hope it will be relatively bloodless.

Thomas Sowell calls them the Anointed (again, ironically). They truly seem to believe they are culturally, morally and intellectually superior.

Screw ‘em, let them stew in their own elite, effete juices. More and more they are revealed to be less and less.

You are not alone.  I feel lousy just like you do right now.  I am also sensing a gut feeling that a whole lot more American`s blood is up over March 25 and the Mexican Flags.  But we are the kind that aren`t, rather a slow methodical something may develop here that will get attention.

We are in the midst of a World War and that is not the time for a revolution.

BTW, I am a black powder enthusist and own several rifles and pistols.  They are lethal and require NO paperwork or registration, so far.

They make a big fucking hole..........maybe that would fit your peace of mind.................

Thanks Colonel, Good advice I think.  The black powder thing might be the ticket to redirect some of this funk I’ve been in lately.  Though the Mrs might get a bit queazy from the though of the black powder on the premesis.  I’ve always told her I would most likely go out in an explosion.  Probably from making my own fireworks or some dang thing.

I went to Wal-Mart a few months ago to buy a simple .22 rifle for target practice and blinking.  I filled out the ‘required’ paperwork, and the clerk then called ATF as required under ‘the law’ for either a yea or nay.

Much to my immense surprise, it came back nay!  I asked the clerk why, and he politely told me that ATF does not inform him why, but either yea or nay.  I kindly thanked him (it wasn’t his fault).

I searched for the federal laws regarding this, and found out that a misdemeaner domestic(sp?) assault charge automatically disqualifies a person from legally owning a firearm.

Then memory served me...23 years ago, the ex-wife and I had gotten into an argument over something I cannot even recall now, she took a swing at me and landed one...I pushed her away, and she hit the wall.  She promptly called the police, accusing me of ‘hitting’ her.  The police came to our apartment, and basically told me that I was going downtown.  I spent exactly 6 hours in a holding cell before being released.

So, I hired a lawyer, went to court, the ex told the judge she didn’t want to press any charges because she struct me first, the DA refused to accept her refusal to press charges because, and I quote “...there is a child involved, your Honor!” Yes, my daughter was there...in HER crib in another room!

My sentence for the above...fine+time served="domestic disturbance”

You was framed buddy!  K.O., a good place to start is googling up Dixie Gun Works in Union City , Tennesse.  They got it all and it ain`t expensive.  Books on how to, rifles, pistols, lead balls in all calibers, and all the shit you need to go with it.  Black powder cannot be shipped thru the mail, so you just go to a nearby gun shop and most sell it in one pound cans.  You sign for it, but no check from the head mother fucker in charge of the Federation is required first..........

You will be Davy Crockett in no time........... :)

Go back to WalMart or catalogs and look at the in-line muzzle-loading hunting rifles. They are powerful, reliable, and accurate; and powder now comes in handy compressed disks rather than the ol’ loose explosive stuff.
These are great for non-dangerous game…
which doesn’t shoot back with even the most elementary repeater.
They suck, big time, as a personal-defense weapon.

Civil-war-era-style cap’n ball revolvers are also available without hassle…
if your threat environment is limited to six shots.

Beware. Local laws are sometimes even more restrictive than federal regulations, and buying a gun for someone who is otherwise ineligible to buy one is a serious federal crime… as it should be.
