When I lived near the Canadian border we had clinic that catered to the wealthy Canadians that would come down for the better health care and so they didn’t have to wait.
I also remember news stories how the Canadian nurses and doctors were quiting and very fed up with the system.
It’s that uuuuniversal healthcare that Shrillary and the dems are always ragging about.
Universal health care eventually gives the government the means to decide who lives and who dies… by group… as a matter of policy… for the good of The People⢅ without all those pesky ovens.
Wow, four at once. bet all ‘em messicans are jealous.
The last sentence is the most telling. She had the babies in Montana because the hospitals in Canada were “at capacity”.
Can you spell, “Healthcare Rationing” boys and girls? There, I knew you could!
If I’d cooked up four little blessings (can you imagine?) I’d get me to a hospital that was good at that very thing.
The Jepps drove 325 miles to Great Falls for the births because hospitals in Calgary were at capacity, Key said.
They were at capacity? Well, SO WAS SHE!
That’s a lucky family, that they could get to the U.S. I wish them well. I wonder how many of the babies would have made it while Mom waited in line? (snark)
They were at capacity? Well, SO WAS SHE!
Bravo Stepps!
Actually she was on a waiting list for an abortion for 9 months.
No Stepps, she was over loaded. Thats why they came early. She was carrying 10 lbs 12 oz of baby. If you link through the article to the Great falls paper, they have a link to the Jepp family home page, and they have notes on line about the kids.
I loved the alphabetizing of the kids names.
Jeremy,
It would be very unusual for them NOT to be early. I’m glad they made it here for the birth. It takes a special crew to handle that.
I believe they sent her down her in advance, and the labor was induced.
Still, 10 3/4 pounds of baby! Mine were in the low sevens.
I was a 9 1/2 pounder, the largest and the last one my mother had. I undestand that it took the doctor a week to un knot my dads pecker.
Originally she was only pregnant with one, but because of the bureaucracy and an error on the paper work she had to have four.
My first assignment in the Air Force was at the AFB in Great Falls. On the Canadian holidays, the shopping centers were packed with cars with Canadian plates. They bought in bulk—the prices in the US couldn’t be beat. Also more variety.
And Canadian drivers SUCK!
All this and American citizenship, too. What’s not to like about that deal!
Ahh…
Four new Americans.
I’m not sure how the citizenship law works, but I assume they’ll have a choice when they attain adulthood. Good chance we’ll get a couple of good law-abiding US citizens back… a physician or a soldier perhaps… a lawyer, not so much.
The hospitals and doctors down here in Florida are SLAMMED every winter season by snowbirds from Canada.... just TRY to get an appointment.
Wish someone would do a study on how many Canadians get treatment down here every year…
Jerry - From what my sister tells me, the same happens in Arizona.
“and the labor was induced. “ I don’t think so.
from the article: “by Caesarian section”
As they say, if you think health care is expensive now, just wait ‘til it’s free.
