Check out this letter at Rogers place and it will tell you all you need to know. That speech is just stubborn wrong headedness on W’s part

Goddam that pisses me off.
Bush’s dog’n’pony show does the same.
Here you see the results of “compassionate conservatism”.

Below is the letter I just sent to Frist. This makes about 15 letters to him alone.

Senator Bill Frist
Majority Leader
United States Senate

I can not tell you how disappointed and angry I am watching my party betray me and my fellow Americans as the Senate marchs to Vicente Fox’s directions. Now I hear that we will be rewarding the law breakers that entered the country illegally with Social Security payments. All I can see is a total collapse in common sense in Washington. This knife in the back of the American people will not be forgotten on Election Day. When I think back on the work and sweat me and many others put in to help you defeat Jim Sasser this is a bitter cup in deed. It appears despite all efforts that you and President Bush and his ally Fox of Mexico are going to push another amnesty down our throats. Despite your claims that it is not it is still amnesty and the vast majority of American people will not be fooled. The old saw about looking out for American labor needs is just a red herring and will not be accepted by Americans. Why does it seem when a politician gets to Washington they seem to forget who they were sent there to represent? It is The American people, the people of this country not Mexico that we sent you to Washington to represent. I implore you sir wake up before it is too late and your legacy as a Senator of this State and tenure as Majority leader is ruined for ever not to mention the disaster you are fostering on this country. Please reverse course and vote no to amnesty and there by fulfill your duty to your fellow Tennesseans and this country.

The RNC called yesterday. I kept speaking Spanish, telling them, “Senor Master Chief no aqui.”
