The federal worker unions may not be able to force every worker into the union, and may not be able to extract dues from them, but the federal unions seem quite powerful. Regulations that impact the federal workforce have to go to the union for their approval or modification. Job openings frequently are controlled by union-mandated restrictions to only be open to existing federal workers. It is very rare for somebody with commercial-world experience to get into a position of responsibility in the federal workforce (not counting political appointments--I am talking career people, not those who pop in for two years of ego, resume, or patronage). Bill Gates couldn’t get a non-political job in DC unless he took an entry-level position or had connections to get him a federal civilian requirement exemption. We have, therefore, an excess of stupid, of delay, of cronyism, of inbreeding.
90% of the Federal workforce could stop showing up for work and the US citizen would never know. The doers would have fewer impediments. The useless drones with the power to say, “No,” would be out of the way. Stupid make-work would have to stop. Crooked federal procurement systems would have to be cleaned up--and wasteful spending would stop. The obscenity of year-end money burning would be so much more disgusting to the remaining 10% that they would not spend it. (When I was young I thought it was myth. Now I see it. Tens of thousands of dollars that I see spent every year, in one narrow area of the feds world, is wasted on rushed, un-needed, ridiculous purchases. “Hey, we have $50K left. Let’s get new printers, chairs, and some network gear that we don’t even have qualifications to operate.")
...so if the unions have such a strangle-hold in DC, without being able to extract tribute for the union, then Wisconsin must be a far worse disaster of ineptitude. It’s great to see them on display on TV! We see and understand the enemy more clearly every day. Trumka, SEIU, Soros, Obama, anti-America, we see you.
“They” know we see them and they don’t care---I said b/4 we haven’t seen anything yet--- this is the tip of the sword in “their” efforts to finally take this country down--
”President Obama, the great patron[izer] of the working man,” never having actually been one.
There, fixed it.
A teabagger, union member and CEO all sit down to a plate of a dozen cookies. The CEO grabs 11 for himself and then tell the teabagger, “Watch out for that union guy, he wants to take part of your cookie\”.
Toad, you crack me up...Keep trying to convince yourself...and us...that your Messiah is at least better than Jummah Carter...Oh and by the way, you can start citing FACTS anytime to support your side of the discussion…
Oh, and Toad, if you can’t at least come up with an original thought/joke, at least have the integrity to credit it to the commenter on your blog from whom you stole it.
Now we have that retarded fucking cookie thing.
It was fucking stupid the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th time some retard copied and pasted it.
Toad, I’m not playing this game with you again. You get one more chance to stop being an idiot, grow up and actually contribute something.
A joke is a joke...It’s not a thesis. Get over it...Like you don’t recite the same ole ramblings of Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck...You don’t credit them do you?
And what messiah would you be referring to? If you mean Obama we can run the numbers of where the economy was when Bush took over vs. how he left it when Obama took over and how it has rebounded since.
Or we could talk about the deficit that Bush created or his record expansion of our debt???
Or how Republican deregulation has always led to these financial collapses we went through in 08.
I would be glad to have either of those conversations.
