Won’t play on this machine.  Banner sez I gotta go get a codec, then when I go to the site to get it, my machine sez maybe I shouldn’t trust the source.  I recently installed AVG as my anti-virus, and it’s telling me maybe Microsoft ain’t trustworthy?  WTF?

Oh, and what the hell is .rar type file?  I get ‘em sometimes from an old pal but my machine sez it doesn’t recognize the format.  Also sends Q/T, and I can’t play those either.  Where’s a good site to d/l the codecs and other player software?  Some reason M/S shouldn’t be trusted?

An rar file is like a compressed file, similar to a zip file, or so I have been told.  It allows you to download a large number of items in a compressed file.

I guess the better question is who uses what to compress files.  I suspect most of the .rar files I get from my old Navy bud are either NSFW or just plain porn.  No idea about the Q/T stuff.  Had it on my previous computer, but it kept tryin to take over as default player and pissed me off, so I never loaded it on this one.  All I have now are wmv and realplayer.  They’re all I need 99% of the time.

And is there any way I can find the guy who foisted pdf off on us so I can run his nuts through a cheese grater before feeding them to the squirrels in my back yard?  Goddam satanic invention if ever I saw one, clearly designed for demons and trolls.
