The DO have recourse - they can tell their tale of woe to somebody who gives a shit. Which leaves me out, thank bog…

No different than the HRC in Philly ruling on a sign erected on private property. Extra-legal PC shenanigans!

Stay tuned tomorrow for the big HRC tribunal, one that is actually open to the public. Mark Steyn will be there, blogging.

Check out FreeMarkSteyn.com and EzraLevant.com

Remember: some of this crew wants to ‘censor’ the internet, too. It is everyone’s fight.

Here is a fantastic short op ed about what is happening here tomorrow. Really good:

Maclean’s posted comments and they still want more space.  Shut up already.  They had their chance to respond.  I have the perfect thing at work.  A door hanger that says “No Whiners”.

Exactly, raz0r: they wanted a cover story, unedited, by a writer of their choosing, and they even wanted to art direct it.

what the complainants find amazing is the publisher’s “I’d rather go bankrupt” reply. To me, and I’m sure to you, this response is rings a bell: from GIve me liberty to give me death to A Man For All Seasons.

But Muslims find the publisher’s statement baffling. They have no real appreciation of liberty or honor in the Western tradition.

Exactly Kathy.  Macleans has the right to accept or refuse.  They’re a business.

But we don’t have private property rights protection in our “constitution”, Razor!

Many of our HRC complaints reflect this: a Christian printer being forced to print flyers for a gay activist group, a restaurant owner being sued for telling a guy to stop smoking pot in front of his cafe.

Sorry to hear that Kathy.  I tend to view things from this side of the border.  I need to remember not all conservatives live in the USA.  ;-)

Damn, I feel insulted.  Doesn’t that entitle me to boobie pics or something?

Seriously, the writer describes this a “a conflict not of the West vs. Islam, but within the West”.  I don’t think that’s really true—the conflict is taking place within the West, but the instigator of the conflict is clearly a fifth column working to bring down the system from within.  It may be physically in the West, but it is not of the West.
