Have fun TUA and try not to start any forest fires with the burnt wadding from your deadly shots.............. :)

Sounds like a blast!

But…

Fort Tajon.  Just doesn’t sound very “War Between the States.”

Doesn’t ring like Bull Run, Spotsylvania, Chickamauga, Shiloh, Petersburg, Sumter, Kennesaw Mountain et al.

Have fun TUA!  Come on to Richmond sometime, and I’ll tour you around.  About 50% of the Wah of Northren Ahgresshun was fought within an hour’s drive of here.

dick - C’mon up and I’ll show you Gettysburg. The absolute best is the horseback tour of the battlefield.

MCPO - I should do that.  In all my 64 years, I think I’ve been there only four times and there is still much I haven’t seen.  I have a chair that came down thru my family that was in the Spangler House during the battle, but I’ve not seen the house that I know of.
It’s stunning if you stand at the center of the Confederate lines on Seminary ridge and look up at Cemetery Ridge.
After doing that from Lee’s vantage point on Seminary Ridge and vice-versa, it’s beyond me looking at the lay of the land and the Union positions how Lee could have considered a frontal assault on the center of the Union line.

Steppes—it’s amazing how people with many and varied talents can never be counted on to latch the door…
*sigh*

TUA - sounds like an amazing time.

MCPO Airdale —that sounds like an amazing time, too!
