Steppes:  my elder daughter is 45, and we’ve been allergic to each other for around 40 of those years.  Taught me one very deep lesson:  you can love someone, sacrifice for her, defend her, support her, but not like her very goddam much.  That’s something you can’t begin to contemplate until your kids grow up.

When forced by circumstance to share the same roof for more than around 24 hours or so, we each edge dangerously close to critical pile.  Florida is barely big enough for both of us:  I in Pensacola, and she in Kissimmee.  Of course I am wholly responsible for everything bad that ever happened to her in life, even since she ran off back when she was 18.

Harry Smith is so full of himself, it hardly registers on him when he gets owned by the hawt lady. Harry, like RT, suffers from a clinical lack of humor.

I’m so glad he’s not tainted by Bush.  That makes me feel soooo much better.

I take her shtick as political theater, not analysis.  If you can’t figure that out, well, that’s your problem, Mr Taoist.

She’s an entertainer, but she’s preachin to the choir.  No one on the left actually pays any attention to her points, many of which are valid but heavily laden with sarcasm and (as Smith says) sophomoric humor.

I’ve always said that both she and Hannity don’t do the conservatives and centrists any favors.  I agree with most of what Annie says (and some of what Hannity rails about), but she’s really more interested in the fees, royalties, and kickbacks than trying to correct any ignorant notions or misinterpreted realities on the left.
