Weather conditions: Overcasts skies, Temp: mid-teens to low 20’s, Shrinkage factor........Minus Willie!

The winds have been blowing in storm after storm all along the Colorado Divide since before Christmas.  Vail’s high temp is predicted to be 17 with a daytime accumulation of 2” of snow with sustained winds of 15 mph. Tonight they expect another 1-3 inches and a low of 14 in the valley. More snow and wind and overcast tomorrow.....Thursday looks to be the best day with a high of 39, sunshine and bluebird skies....Then more cold and snow on Friday.

This is a great year for Powder hounds!!!!!

And its all Al Gore’s fault.......Heh.

Is the Law of Large Number Averages.  If a million peeps board a skilift for x-decades, one of them is going to figure out(or not give it any thought...) how do something that a million engineers spent millions of hours designing to be an impossibility!!!

I’m not sure which were Jeralyn’s comments and which were yours, but Gutfield’s article on this new blog was satire.

It’s a good thing there were others there willing and able to photograph this notable event.

I used to work on a ski lift. My job was to keep the idiots from killing themselves. There’s this big red button that you need to be ready to use at any moment, just for this purpose.  It got used often.

I saw some pretty stupid stuff, but nothing quite this bad. I suspect it’s the operator’s fault. Somebody didn’t check all the chairs to make sure they weren’t frozen, etc. The 10:30AM time is the giveaway.

Heh. I just remembered my other job there: Checking the Alpine Slide every morning (and periodically on sunny days) for rattlesnakes. The way this was done was by riding one of the scooters down the track. They liked to crawl onto the track and sun themselves there. Yes, I said rattlesnakes. This was in Gatlinburg, TN. Eastern Diamondbacks. Big mothers.

All I get when I click onnit is “IE cannot display the page” caveat.  Whatsat mean?  I can’t open the site until the 24 hour-block runs out?

Well,well........This “Big Hollywood” site says that Bruce Springsteen is a Conservative and yet on the “Talk Left” site you find this....  “Bruce Springsteen Bashes Bush

Springsteen wove strong criticism of the administration of President Bush (news - web sites) into the first of the final three shows at Shea Stadium on Wednesday night, playing a recording of Bush talking about weapons of mass destruction, questioning America’s motives for the war in Iraq (news - web sites) and calling for Bush’s defeat as he seeks re-election next year.

“It is time to impeach the president and put in somebody that knows what they’re doing,” the musician, known as “The Boss,” told the crowd.

Heading into the hit “Born in the U.S.A.,” he said: “The question of whether we were misled into the war in Iraq isn’t a liberal or conservative or Republican or Democratic question, it’s an American one. “.......................................................................................................................  So ,uh, what’s the deal?...B.S. is loaded with b.s.?...He talks outta both sides of his mouth or what?....  I actually have always had the impression that the “boss” was pretty much a Liberal like the rest of the “stars”.
